GSAS and the W.E.B. Du Bois Graduate Society sponsored their 20th annual welcome dinner for minority AM and PhD candidates earlier this month — a collegial evening of fun and relaxation and an occasion for new and returning students to meet and mingle. The dinner, held at Fire & Ice on Church Street, marked the kick-off of a year of networking and recruiting activities planned by the Du Bois Society. (View photos from the kickoff dinner below.)
Minority students and all others are invited to join Society members every third Thursday of the month at 6:30 for food, drinks, socializing, and networking at Cambridge Queens Head Pub in Memorial Hall, downstairs from Annenberg Hall. Fall 2011 dates: September 22 (note: this is the 4th Thursday of September), October 20, and November 17. Join the listserv for additional events and resources.
