The Bureau of Study Counsel will offer an assortment of study-strategy workshops  

Harvard Course in Reading and Study Strategies

Monday–Friday, January 14-18, 3:00-5:00pm
Register at 5 Linden Street
This week-long course is for students who speak or read English as a non-native language. The course helps students develop a repertoire of strategies for reading expository text at the university level. In addition, the course addresses the structure of American academic/expository texts, the implicit assumptions about authority at work for American academic writers and readers, and students' experience of adjusting to Harvard courses and classroom. Fee: $25 for GSAS and Harvard College students, $150 for all others (cash, check or termbill). Please register in person at 5 Linden Street.

Time Management Workshop

This workshop will help you develop and strengthen your time management strategies to honor your priorities and accomplish what you want and need to do. Register by January 18, call 617-495-2581.

Problem Solving in Math and Science

Wednesday, January 23, 4:30-6:00pm

Join a practical discussion of the how-to's and how-not-to's of problem solving starting with a humorous example from Norton Juster's The Phantom Tollbooth. Register by January 22, call 617-495-2581.
