Academic records for all students in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences are maintained in the Registrar’s Office. In addition, the office oversees registration, examinations, and classroom schedules. Students should come to this office to report changes in name or address, or to request transcripts of their records or statements certifying their registration in the Graduate School.
The Deputy Registrar places the appropriate tuition charges on students’ term bills. The Graduate Records office also handles petitions to add or drop a course, for cross-registration, and for make-up examinations, and applications for academic credit for work done elsewhere. This office is responsible for the listing of all prior degrees on a student’s GSAS transcript. Degree applications and doctoral dissertations are filed with the Graduate Records Office
