All About CSE!

Posted September 17, 2012

Graduate students interested in computational science and engineering (CSE) are warmly invited to the CSE Fall Advising Fair and Social at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences on Thursday, September 20, 4:30-6 p.m.

Refreshments and lightning talks will be served on the second-floor landing in Maxwell Dworkin.

The mini-fair is a drop-in event for:

  • students interested in SEAS's new courses in applied computation and computational science
  • those curious about the new graduate Secondary Field in CSE (application deadline: October 1)
  • anyone interested in the Master of Science in CSE, offered for the first time this year!

In micro-talks, the first class of students in the Secondary Field program will describe how they're using computational methods for their research in areas including applied physics, chemistry and astronomy.

The student talks will begin at 5:15 to accommodate students attending the Computer Science Colloquium.

For program information and contacts, see the Institute for Applied Computational Science.
