Sniadecki and Verena Paravel, both fellows at the Harvard Film Center, are garnering praise for Foreign Parts, an immersive look at the life and times of the auto-body shops and junkyards of Willets Point, an area of Queens now targeted for massive redevelopment. The pair were featured in the Wall Street Journal, and their "vilm" (video-film) was included in a New York Times overview of the New York Film Festival, where the piece screened this month.

In late August, Verena Paravel and Sniadecki (who is also pursuing a secondary field in film and visual studies) were awarded the Pardo for Best First Feature and the Special CINÉ CINÉMA Jury Prize for Foreign Parts at the 63rd annual Locarno Film Festival, one of the world's highest-regarded festivals.

Sniadecki's 2008 documentary Demolition (Chaiqian), exploring a vast demolition site in the center of Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan province, continues to be screened internationally at festivals this fall.
