Special Student and Visiting Fellow Reapplication Information and Form

Special Students or Visiting Fellows who have registered in a previous academic year and wish to return or extend their stay for another academic year or term must reapply for Special Student or Visiting Fellow status.
     
Those re-applying should access the on-line application and choose “Reapplication” on the Preliminary Questions page.  This will allow those reapplying within three years of their original application to submit a short application with a reduced application fee.  The re-application does not require that supporting materials such as transcripts or letters of recommendation be submitted.  

Please note that the Special Student or Visiting Fellow status is ordinarily limited to a maximum of two terms. Request for additional terms is carefully reviewed with respect to your research or course work plans and the appropriateness of pursuing them at Harvard.
