Visiting Fellows: Costs Tuition and Fees

Tuition is charged at the current Graduate School “reduced tuition” rate. The fee for 2008-09 is estimated to be $8,342 for the academic year ($4,171 per term). This fee cannot be prorated and is non-refundable. In addition to the tuition fee, Visiting Fellows are required to pay $1,426 ($713 per term) for the use of the University Health Services. Also, a $1,404 fee ($702 per term) is required for the Harvard Blue Cross/Blue Shield medical insurance plan. Fellows may waive the Harvard Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan only it they have other medical coverage that meets minimum standards required by Massachusetts law. Total tuition and fees equal $11,172 for the year ($5,586 per term).

Unfortunately, there is no Harvard University financial aid for Visiting Fellows.

Most international fellows applying from abroad are funded by a foundation, government grant or company. All international fellows should be certain they can provide evidence of sufficient funding. Visa authorization is contingent upon the financial certification of funds to cover tuition and living expenses.
