Living in Cambridge and Boston
Boston is the ultimate college town. With more than 50 other colleges and universities in the area, the city's social life is highly student oriented.
Cambridge combines the attractions of a cosmopolitan city with the charm of a New England town. Organized around traditional town greens, tree-lined squares, and the banks of the Charles River, Cambridge is one of metropolitan Boston's vital urban centers. One-of-a-kind shops, international restaurants, bookstores, cafés, and huge music stores occupy are found throughout Harvard Yard.
While Boston is full of history with the Freedom Trail, the USS Constitution, and historic buildings, it is also a modern city with diverse cultures and and important arts centers.
Transportation
The inexpensive and clean subway system-the "T"-gives students easy access to all of Greater Boston. Within a few hours' drive of Boston and Cambridge are the beaches of the Atlantic, Walden Pond, the historically important towns of Lexington and Concord, ski resorts, and more.
