The GSAS has an active recruitment program which seeks out potential applicants from underrepresented minority groups.In particular, the Office of Admissions aims to encourage applicants who identify themselves as African-American, Mexican-American, Native American, Native Pacific Islander from Hawaii, Samoa, Guam, or Micronesia, or Puerto Rican. Efforts to attract such prospective students include summer programs, recruitment visits to undergraduate schools, prospective student visits to the Harvard campus, and specific Financial Aid Opportunities for minority students.
