Graduating This Year?

Posted February 06, 2012

GSAS students, if you’re planning to graduate this March or May, we invite you to take part in Commencement activities on May 24, 2012.

The GSAS celebration begins early, at a breakfast with the deans on the museum lawns on Oxford Street. The celebration formally kicks off with the annual procession of degree candidates, led by the GSAS Commencement marshals, down Oxford Street to the Yard, where GSAS candidates lead all Harvard students into Tercentenary Theatre in a symbolic recognition of the central role of scholarly inquiry at Harvard.

Following Morning Exercises in the Yard, GSAS candidates head to Sanders Theatre for the Diploma Awarding Ceremony, where candidates cross the stage, receive their diplomas from the FA S and GSAS deans, and become Harvard alumni.

Important deadlines for ordering your regalia are coming up. Regalia ordering — through the Harvard Coop — opens on March 19 and ends on April 4 for AM candidates and April 20 for PhD candidates.
